Gravestone Inscription

I was curious about the hebrew inscription on their gravestones, so I did some research. I have figured out what it means! If you notice the two letters at the top- "pay" and "nun", which stands for Po Nikbar, which means "here lies". Then, the five letters (the last line of hebrew) at the bottom- it's an abbreviation from the bible, 1 Samuel 29:25 "May his soul be bound up in the bonds of Eternal Life". The 2nd line says "The important woman, Leah daughter of the honorable Naftali". The 3rd line, 1st word, I think is an abbreviation for "died". 2nd word stands for the number 18 (day of month). 3rd word, Heshvan (month). 4th word, each letter stands for a number- 400-300-20-4 which equals 724. This stands for the year 5724, the "5000" is typically omitted. So, the date of her death (on the jewish calendar) is 18 Heshvan 5724.
Ozer's Gravestone: His begins with "here lies". An important and honest man. Ozer son of Moshe Wolf. Died 2 Heshvan 5714. His also has the 5 letters that stands for "May his sould be bound up in the bonds of Eternal Life".
I also read that it is common to have a star of david on a man's gravestone and a candle or candlabra on a woman's gravestone.

Here is the website that I found this info, if you want to read more of the details. I also used

this to type out the hebrew words. And this to translate it.
